Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins has been severely disciplined.
Jenkins was fined $25,000 by the NBA Office of the Commissioner on Wednesday. That’s about $33,000 in Korean won.
In a press release, the league said the decision was made in response to his public criticism of officiating.

The game was marked by controversial officiating. Memphis was outshot 13-29 in free throw attempts and star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. was ejected for protesting a questionable call.
In the postgame press conference, Coach Jenkins went on a “saber rant,” his voice trembling with anger, and for about two minutes he lashed out at the officiating.
It was a rant of epic proportions. In his official press conference, Jenkins used shocking profanity and said, “XX. Hands down the worst officiating game I’ve ever seen. Record it. I’m fine. Jackson Jr. was in the paint for 23 minutes and was ejected for a double technical foul. 13-29 on free throws. I’m not a numbers guy, but this makes no sense. Complete disregard.”
He added: “I know there will be discipline, but I have to talk about it. I can’t believe what’s happening,” he said, criticizing the officiating.
In fact, few people have ever criticized a refereeing decision in an official press conference with such profanity.
Jenkins was severely punished for his outburst.
